A couple points about posting material on the site if it does not belong to you:

1. Please be sure you have the owner's permission to post the material. This letter has been widely distributed, and I doubt Emory minds it being on here, but please always check with the owner (which Big Mac probably already did anyway).

2. Google dislikes duplicate content. For example, this letter is also posted on http://responsiblepoa.com. Google does not like this and can penalize sites for it. To avoid this problem, I have added a plugin when you are creating a post. This plugin notifies Google that the post contains duplicate content. An analogy would be that you should always tell a cop if you have a gun in the car - regardless of whether you have a permit. If you don't tell them and they find it, don't be surprised if you get roughed up! Google treats duplicate content like the gun in the car.

It is called "Robots Meta." You will see a series of options you can check. If you use more than a paragraph of content that is used on another site, please check the option for "noindex, nofollow." This will make Google happy, and me too! :)
