The POA Board has asked Jim Story to find a $1,000,000 reduction for the 2009 budget.
They are considering closing the Sconti restaurant for evening meals on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
They are also considering closing the Wildcat swimming pool for all of 2009 (a $50,000 savings).
Just a little news that you won’t see in the Smoke Signals On-line.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI have heard that the Board is considering limiting Big Canoe house rentals. Like in other similar communities, the POA Board may limit the total number of houses that can be rented (like maybe 10% of total number of houses in the community).
It is most likely that in-house businesses that are already renting houses would be grandfathered.

The so-called rumors in my post above came from a Big Canoe Amenity Manager.
