Lifted from the Budget verbage:
‘In regard to Public safety the reductions in staff were to decrease the North Gate from two Gate Guards during the day to one Gate Guard and to close the North Gate guardhouse from 11:00p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. ‘
IMO it is pretty sad that this Board changes our services in order to maintain the the Sconti subsidies. I say limit dinner service to Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.
I think we need to eliminate the Amenity Director position ASAP. I very see little value benefiting the community. We don’t need a social director…and we don’t need the higher amenity (F&B) subsidies it appears the position brings.
How comical is it that the losses from the good old Sconti from the Stan Stewart days (that we all thought were intolerable) look so good. What a difference the Board has made with interim management…thanks!!!
I would think closing the North Gate Guard house would be a liability issue to the community…

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackWell, apparently you weren’t at the POA meeting or you would have heard John Seferian, financial guru, explaining that the amenities, including the food & beverages operations were not being subsidized by the property owners. Also, you might want to see the Smoke Signals Online article.
I wonder where the $500,000 so far this year for food & beverage (plus $215,000 for clubhouse management) came from? Government bailout? Santa Claus?
We’re being played for fools and taken like lambs to the slaughter.
