It is ok to post and comment now. Site is now updated and most of the repairs have been completed. I don’t think I’ll need to take it down to make the remaining updates and site clean-up. Here some items to keep in mind:
- I had to re-enter Doug Piggott’s post. I think I got it word for word, but the post time was actually yesterday not today. I also had to re-enter the title as it was not saved. Doug, feel free to correct this if I got something wrong.
- I installed a more aggressive spam blocker to prevent the hundreds of porn, casino, pill, and insurance spam comments the site receives every day. The program works great, but it is little on the aggressive side, and it occasionally marks good comments as bad. If you post a comment, and it doesn’t appear, this is most likely the problem. Email me, and I’ll mark you as “not spam.” Don’t feel bad, I get marked as spam on my own site every time I make a comment.
- The comment editor has been updated, but it’s been difficult for me to test it. If you post a comment, you should have 15 minutes to edit the comment. After that, it’s locked unless you contact me and have me do it for you.
- If you have a website, you can enter your site URL when you post a comment. It’s a dofollow, so if you’re trying to promote your site, it might help you out a little bit. If you’re not sure what dofollow is, just enter in your site URL along with your name and email, and don’t sweat it.
- If you see any bugs or errors, please let me know! I know there are a few left like the extra Subscribe links floating around. Also, when you click on a comment, you’re supposed to be redirected to the position on the web page where the comment is located - this will be fixed soon.
- The site should be snappier now. Let me know what you think.
Thanks!
