Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackNote that my information is about two weeks old:
The Long Term Finance Committee (LTFC) (chaired by Chuck Palmer, and with two new members) has not received the Capital Reserve Fund (CRF) survey detailed results package. The results of this survey are supposed to help them develop an alternative CRF solution.
One of the new members has asked the POA Board for an official charter for the committee. On two occasions the board has promised to provide the charter, and has not done so.
One of the new members wants the CRF money for capital improvement projects only; and wants a requirement that sending of the CRF money for new capital improvement projects would require formal approval by the property owners. The POA Board does not agree, and has told the committee that they do not want their hands tied as to how they, or future boards, can spend any new capital reserve funds.
I too am waiting for the results. I think they do not want to publish them because they are not good. Someday we will again have full disclosure and have confidence in their decisions, it amazes me that the board doesn’t realize we too are fairly educated, I remember when I used to be impressed with their past accomplishments, not so much anymore.
The facts are:
Chuck Plamer added four individuals (not two) to his committee. They include representation for the real estate community and those opposed to the last recommendation.
The board has not promised to develop a charter. We agreed that the committee would draft an official charter and it will be reviewed and approved by the board.
There has been no determination of what should be in or out of the next CRF recommendation.
We are awaiting the survey results. They come from an independant company and should be forwarded to the POA the end of this week. You have as much information as the POA has. The interim results were presented at the annual meeting. The final results will be published when they are received.
